WHAT LEVEL ARE YOU AT ?

Beginner class

I have never even put on a pair of skis.

Class 1 Quick witted skiers Slopes used: green-blue

I can walk, I can climb, I can snowplough straight. I can take the ski lift, I can sideslip, and I can do snowplough turns and stop. "Elementary turns".

Class 2 Average skiers Slopes used: blue and red

I sideslip easily, I’m starting to do stem turns and wide parallel turns, but transfer my weight to do so on almost all slopes. "Most turns".

Class 3 Good skiers Slopes used: red and black

I do parallel turns with closed skis on all slopes. I ski well and fast on all kinds of snow and on all terrain. "Parallel turns".

Competition class

I do giant slalom and special slalom and I ski in all conditions.




SNOWBOARD

Beginners

I’ve never boarded before.

Class 1

I have 3-6 days boarding experience. On green and blue runs I can: - go straight - Stop/skid - traverse/sideslip backwards and forwards - Take several turns on a blue run - take the ski lift and chairlift

Class 2

I have between 10 days and two weeks boarding experience and I know how to: - go straight on slopes of varying steepness - do checking turns and short swings - do some off-piste or freestyle skiing

Class 3

I have three weeks’ or more boarding experience and I know how to: - board in all kinds of snow and on all kinds of terrain - do carved turns - do slalom or freestyle


TRAINING CLASS

During the entire winter season, the ESF is offering group FREERIDING and BOARDERCROSS classes for boarders who are already at a good level and who want to discover and become initiated into the joys of jumps, freeriding and off-piste boarding enjoyed by professional snowboarders.
